The Site Manager for Oak Construction Projects (OCP) Limited will be responsible for a high-profile heritage and listed building project in the Stockport area. The ideal candidate will have a passion for historic buildings and conservation craftsmanship, with proven experience in managing similar sites.
A key part of the job will be leading site operations and ensuring the highest quality craftsmanship using traditional materials and techniques. The Site Manager will work closely with subcontractors, conservation consultants, and client teams. They’ll also be responsible for driving health and safety, compliance, and listed building consent requirements, while keeping the project on schedule and protecting the historic fabric.
The successful candidate should have:
Experience managing heritage or conservation sites (Grade I/II preferred)
SMSTS, CSCS (Managerial), and First Aid certifications
Strong leadership and communication skills
Knowledge of traditional building materials and techniques (e.g., lime mortars, timber repairs, leadwork, stone masonry)
